To reduce the use of plastic, our brand do not use plastic bags for all orders online. Instead, we decided to use Korean traditional paper called "Hanji".

한지란 한국의 전통 방식으로 제작된 모든 종이를 일컫는 말이며, 닥나무로 만들어 닥종이라고도 불립니다.대량생산되는 종이의 수요가 늘어나면서 장인의 손으로 한땀한땀 만들어지는 한지는 점점 우리 사회 속에서 살아지고 있습니다.

Hanji refers to all types of paper crafted from traditional handmade method. It is made from inner bark of “Paper Mulberry”. Although Hanji holds great cultural value in Korea, the demand is reducting due to complicated and strenous manfacturing process.

한지는 다른 종이들에 비해 질기고 강하여 오랜 기간 보존이 가능합니다. 또한, 한지는 통풍이 되어 습도가 어느 정도 조절되기 때문에 잘 썩지 않는 장점이 있어 문화재 복원 및 설치미술의 재료로 많이 사용됩니다.

Hanji is a refutable paper amoung Asia due to its durability and vantilation. The longest text made out of hanji currently preserved in Korea lasted for about 800 years.

에드린에서 사용하는 한지는 앞서 설명드린 전통기법으로 생산된 한지는 아니므로 보존력이 떨어질 수 있습니다. 하지만, 개인의 취향에 따라 액자, 편지지, 포장지 등으로 재활용이 가능합니다.

Please understand that Hanji our brand uses for packaging is manfuctured in slightly different techinque. Thus, it has comparabilty short durability and slow vantilation. However, it could be reused as letter and packaging paper,or even displayed as a artwork in the frame.
